I didn't realize that I was in the 'other guitars' section. whoops! Duh!
I am going to have to revise my desktop to avoid this confusion. I jsut go to a listing of all of the new posts in the Gibson DiscussionPRI.....and hit a new thread...forgetting that it could be in a section other than soemthing concerned with Gibsons.
Malikon, someone came in just Friday with an AGile of which he was totally proud. IT didn't look like a les Paul, it didn't feel like a LEs Paul, and it didn't sound like a Les Paul.
The pickups ;were so microphonic I could make announcements through them. I plugged in a Gibson LEs paul to compare, and the owner had to admit the differenc.
Johnreardon, an Epi L.P. can be a good guitar with a change to some decent pickups. I would never make the mistake of thinking one felt or looked like a Gibson USA product.
I have owned GIbsons since '63, and there is a thing about them that is to this day different from anything except a highly professional copy...like a Max that was mentioned. Cover the headstocks up and I will separate the guitars from each other...Gibson, Epi, Agile, Edwards.....
I apologize for not knowing what section of the Gibson Discussion Page RI that I was on.
