Hello,

I have an ES435 from '74 and the pickups base plate show a difference : the neck pups has a small black sticker with the patent number in gold (helas no pat pending). The bridge pickup has the patent number engraved on the base plate. The DC measurement is almost identical 6.91K for the neck and 6.94k for the bridge. When played the output is pretty low even compared to a Gibson neck pup comming out of an ES175 I had bought new in '81 (this one is 7.3K.
Neck pup sounds warm but weak. Bridge pup is a bit harsh and weak.

Could anybody help me to identify them or give any info?

I'm not sure what they were back then, but there were no choices. This is why Dimarzio was such a big hit. My '73's bridge pup is strong and bright. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
