Has anybody tried one of these out? I want to try either a semi-hollow or a hollow body out. From everything I've read the only difference between them and a Gibson is the name on the headstock.

The name seems to have changed before I've had a chance to even try any

..is what I bought this summer. It's sunburst.
Right at about #1100 via MF.
I have to admit that this guitar is about one of the nicest guitars I've ever bought. It was built without any flaws, and sound like it's supposed to.
It does weigh a lot more than I expected, for a semi.
All in all, I feel that it's about the best guitar you can get for that cost.

EMan is correct. I also have one Elitist Dot 335 andit's the best guitar i have. Get yours before the Yen goes up even more. They're japaneese. I've had Gibson 335's and specially now, they suck. My Eli is much better.

The Elitist guitars are very nice guitars...but I had some issues with substandard controls/pups IMO...I had a Brydland and the finish was not quite up to par...considering the price of that model. I would like to get another one to see if mine was a fluke.
I have 4 Epiphones and they are well made guitars.
