I've never fooled with Gibson style bridges before, so I need some help if I may ask.

I've gotten my grubby hands on some old gold LP parts, and I want to convert a modern tunomatic bridge to this older one I have here.

The mounting posts on the modern one are probably about twice as thick as the older bridges'. I dont have the old posts, so I guess I need "Conversion" posts, if they exist...

Should I consider pulling the old ones, and replacing them with smaller, or...?

Any advice or resouces would be greatly appreciated!!

I think the issue is not just the size, but the spacing. Double check that first. New bridges are not all that expensive, so you may want to consider that before you do any irreversible mods.
