What do you think on this one?
Wonder if he actually played it much?

Some provenance to go with the story would make it a much more interesting item. Maybe if they had a photo of the guitar in Jimi's hand..or underfoot if the story is accurate. Looking at the guitar, I would think that the pickups are non-original. With that bridge set-up, the pups should be P-90's. This bridge also indicates a vintage of late '53 to early'55. In mid '55, Gibson introduced the ABR-1 Tunematic, and the humbuckers appeared in '57. Without accompanying provenance, a refin with no number and non-original pickups, I would think that they will not get the $3000. With provenance, who knows what someone would give for it. Hey, if it was played by Hendrix and then passed through the hands of Bloomfield and others, it would be a find.....with provenance. As it is and without proof of the history, maybe it is a $1500 to 2000 axe...maybe...
