This has been done sooooo many times on the TDPRI. I am just wondering if anyone has this problem on their recent Gibson LP Juniors. I love mine in every way except for this problem. I can clean and polish it until it is glass smooth, but after a little playtime it always gunks up on the neck and body. Scotchbrite treatment is not an option for me as I don't want to remove any of the finish. About all I can think of is to keep the guitar out of the bag in the open air in hopes that the lacquer will fully harden. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, Scott

first month , my Jr was kind of sticky.. be carefull but take a hot wash cloth and wipe the finish.. dry off quickly and use meguiars polish or the polish at stew macs and give it a lite polish off..
the sticky neck is now easy to play , no more 'sticky fingers' Also if you sweat alot, try some talc powder on your frettin' hand.
