The pickguard on my '67 ES 335 is breaking down so I've taken it off--I saw what one did to an Ibanez George Bensen model left in it's case for a while, not a pretty sight!

Anyone know a good source for a replacement? I'd like to find one close to the original design if possible.

Thanks

Steve:
I bought a replacement pickguard for a tele style guitar from Chandler Guitars and they did a fantastic job. I am sure they have exactly what you're looking for. They make guards for large guitar makers like G&L and others. Give them a try. I had excellent luck.

You know, some times, Gibson dealers have replacement parts on a rack in the store. You could as there. I know Elderly's has some in their catalogue, too.

Here's the url for Chandler: www.chandlerguitars.com/

Elderly is: www.elderly.com.

Good luck.

thought I posted this reply already, guess I forgot to hit submit

The Chandler site looks like a good bet. I've also looked at the WD site (pickguards.com) as well as Warmoth. I was hoping to find one with the original edge striping pattern, but I don't think that's going to be easy, and I'm not going to go nuts over it.

The parts section Gibson site was the first place I checked. Unfortunately, they only seem to make available pickguards for Les Pauls.

You know, sometimes you see older pickguards on eBay, too. I hate to use the word eBay, because some people hate it, but I see them there, too.

If you're not gun-shy, give that a try, too.
Take care.

I've used Ebay to pick up vintage LP / 335 / SG parts. No problems so far.

I stumbled across these guys by accident, and they have MANY Gibson pickguards, pots, etc (yes, Fender, too) at very reasonable prices.
