Its aspirational bullsh*t of the worse kind forced on you by magazines and peer pressure.
ALL epi's are good..nay...great guitars.
ANY epi is good enough to gig with and sound good.
You dont need all of this nonsense to sound any better!
30 years experience tells me that a great tone/sound/feeling, comes from whats inside.
NOT outside!
Listen to the great old originators of guitar music and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!...
Learn your craft.
Forget "upgrades", and all that nonesense.
A great player will still sound great on an ordinary guitar.
And an ordinary guitar player will still sound ordinary on a great guitar.
