Last week I traded in my beloved es333 and not so beloved gl asat clasiic for a new LP STD Plus in trans amber. I really liked this guitar. Great looks, sound and playability. After a couple of days I found that I could not get into it like i was able to on es333. I couldn't bond with it. So yesterday I returned it for my es333 and the remainder in a store credit!
My numero uno is back and I'm happy again! plus I got a very very good amount for the gl!!

Look at it this way -- now you know the ES-333 is a keeper! BTW, have you changed out the electronics? Check my reply (next to last post) in the ES-333 thread below that you'd started to see what I've done with mine.

Its a keepr all right. I work three blocks away from one of Montreal largest git shops Italmelody. Its a great store w/excellent sales folk and a great selection of gibsons, gl, gretsch, jakson, ibanez etc. So needless to say I'm aregular and sometimes I get reall bad gas! This was the case recently. So I kept buying and trading in guitars. I always kept the 333 and always came back to it saying its my #1 electric. My 0015 is my #1 overall.
W/the store credit I'm getting a digital multitrack recorder!

Im just about ready to swap the pups and electronics for some SD 59s and cts 500s. But everytime I decide to do it I plug her in and don't find the need. Since I've posted the thread about pup swapping I've lowered the neck pup A LOT and raised the bridge pup A LOT. This gives me a real nice clean mneck tone, almost strat like. The bridge pup is real dirty and cleans up enough with the vol rolled back and combined they sound semi dirty and are great for rythm.
