I've seen some advertised early 90s gibson pickups from an SG, and I'd assume LP's as well, out on ebay. One is a bridge pickup measuring 9k or so, with a spacing just over 2". On the back you can make out "PAT NO. 273xxxxxx". No sticker like a PAF or PAF RI type pickup.
Does anyone know what magnetics were used? Are these early 490 series pickups? What are these things?
I'm wanting something to drop into an Epi SG and I'm finding that SD '59n is more defined than I'd like and I'd like to find some A2 pickups so I'm wondering about these gibson pickups from this time period.
Thanks for your help.
