Yes Mr. 134,
They do say Les Paul Signature...they are nice.
The 70's Gibson models are out there, $3000 and up...

I love the looks of that Les Paul Signature, I recall seeing John Hiatt on Austin City Limits a few years back and his lead player at that time, Michael Ward played one, I really enjoyed the show!
Then a few years later I saw Hiatt live at the Rymann in Nashville-with Sonny Landreth-and I was totally blown away!!
Here are my Epi's---

2004 Les Paul Standard Plus top

I used to have an Epiphone Rivera. It was old to begin with, and it eventually crapped out on me.
I'm going to try for a Epiphone John Lennon Casino next.

I was recently perusing some youtube videos of old Supro amps. I began to fall prey to their vintage, glassy sound. I then began to scan the 'bay and craigs looking for a suitable acquisition. I also found myself looking at old Harmonys, Gretsches and Gibson amplifiers. I then noticed my Epiphone Blues Custom sitting near some other amps and decided to hear the glass. Once I plugged in, connected a MIM Fender with maple neck, used the clean channel with some reverb, "Wow, what was I looking to replace?" I'm not necessarily stating that a newer Epi Custom sounds like a vintage Supro, etc., but it can match with the right personalizing! Nice...I've got my glass spank and chime...twenty-five years from now it will be vintage!
Addendum: I used my '86 Strat as well, but the Tele tells all!

I've owned multiple Epiphones over the years but of them all my favorite acoustic was a Masterbilt 12 Fret Cedar and rosewood!!!! I wish I still had it. My favorite electric is a Epiphone Zephyr Blues Deluxe in natural which I still have!!!!!

I have a 1944 Epiphone Zenith named "Eleanor." I wrote up a little story about how I got her. I've written more songs on Eleanor than any of my other instruments. This is, of course, a pre-Gibson Epi.

I currently have a 2005 epi 56 goldtop that i have to say is pretty fff'n nice.I mean considering what these go for,how can you beat it.I would love to have an early reissue gibson version of the 56 goldtop but as usual the funds dictate otherwise. The one i have now i'm considering a pickup swap for either Lollars or Fralin's,but the build quality of these is right there. My only question would be is their really a big difference in build quality of the actual gibby 56 goldtop as opposed to the epi?.Mine is not a light weight 9#'s..ain't no tele!
Also had a 335 dot in ebony(sounds better than just...black)!I put all new wiring harness in and gibby "57"/"57" classic plus pup's and that guitar was a hole different animal.....well worth the upgrade....a whole lotta Fred Macdowell open tuning stuff........wish i had it back!!!!
Also had a epi-"Texan" acoustic......not bad but certainly not even on the same planet as my Gibby AJ....What A TONE MONSTER!!!!!!!!
Anyway that all for now.......keep a rockin!!!!!!!!
