Serial number unrecognized

Went to Guitar dater and the Epi Web site.
Can;t find anything with a C prefix

C197015041

any ideas???

It's time to talk to the Mother Ship! Send in some good pics and all the information you have, including serial number to Gibson/Epiphone. They will identify it for you.

Yes, always talk to those who make the guitars. That Guitar Dater site, to be honest, is not that good. I know it's difficult, but if the manufacturers can help, they are a much better source.
