Teen dream finally realized!

Back in the mid 70's I wanted a white LP Custom. In 78 when I had the $525 for one, they didn't offer white, so I took a Tobacco Sunburst model.

This week, thanks to Sweetwater and their 0% financing, I bought an Epi LP Custom in Alpine White. When I opened the box, I wanted to say I felt like the 18 year-old I was then, but that's not possible. I played it about 5 minutes and it sits next to my 81 Gibson LP Standard I bought in 1982. Hope the old one passes along some tips to the new one!

Nicely played, Deke! If I remember right, white was one of Les Paul's favorite colors on his namesake guitar. They stand out on a dark bandstand, and look great on TV too.

I heard when Les lived in New Jersey before he died, he would go into the local music store with a Sharpie and sign all the white ones! They kept chasing him out of the store!

Wonder how much one of those autographed ones go for now!

Hah! I hadn't heard that one before, that's good. Ol' Red was a sneaky guy!
