ES-135 Limited edition
I think they stopped manufacturing these in 2002 anyone playing or played one? I am tempted by a mint end of run model in natural finish with 57 pups so any opinions would help.

The fact it is a Limited Edition isn't really going to affect the sound and playability much, unless other 135s you may have played had P100s.
I have a 137 in Natural that has 57s in and it sounds great. Some frets are a little proud, but it's not too bad a player either

Thanks John never ever played one and I think the Limited Edition means very little except in this case possible 57's and gold plated hardware (Not keen always wears off). Maybe a moment of passing GAS as I honestly do need another guitar but I find this one very tempting

Looks great. The gold goes well with the colour of the guitar
My guitar is more of a light caramel than natural.

I'm not a fan of gold hardware, but that axe looks nice. The milk chocolate colored neck fits well with the tan wood, instead of the dark, coffee bean, almost black fret boards. Chocolate and coffee bean are the metaphors I use when buying guitars with rosewood. I like brown necks much more then almost black. Good stuff...
I believe the 137s have stoptails instead of trap tail pieces. The 135s with P100s are sort of quiet. I replaced mine recently with with soapbar 'buckers. Photos coming...
