New member,

Hey guys, just became a member. Wanted to say hi. but I thought I would jump right in. I play sometime in a bluegrass band. mostly they play martins, I have a fairly new sj200. I love the guitar but its not as loud as the martins, and they sure like tell me about it, will it get louder in time, or is that just the way they are,, and what strings to yall recommend, thanks.

Welcome to Gibson-Talk! Martins were pretty much designed to excel in that realm, so I wouldn't expect your Gibson to be louder. Your acoustic should improve its tone over time, but I don't think it will get noticeably louder.
