Hi from Minnesota
What a great site. Boy, you could learn a lot here! I'm an old-timer, 56, and have been a Fender man most of my life. It was'nt until I got a Marshall TSL 602 tube amp to sit next to my Twin that I suddenly got enthusiastic about Gibsons. Most saturday nights I play in an old-timers group, mostly old Stones, Who, Zep, the stuff that rocked us in high school. I currently have an '04 Explorer Pro and a faded SG. What brought me to this site is I'm trying to identify on old (I think) case that I got with my SG. I'm just wondering what year or era it's from and what model of guitar might have come in it. It's wide open inside with no accesory compartment. Any help would be great!

welcome to gibson-talk, Merliss. we're glad to have you here with us. that's a nice looking old guitar that you've got there. I can't say that I recognise the case, though. although, I'm sure that someone on here will know it.
where are you located in Minnesota ? I'm in the "Twin Cities" area.

Just registered here today myself. Wish I could help you with the case but nothing is ringing my bell right now. I'm 62 and was born in Fairibault. I suspect that at some time in the past you and me had the same snow fall on our heads.
Be talkin at you on the threads. Nice to meet you.

Hey all welcome to Gibson-talk. Glad to have you here (I turn 60 this week myself so I know about playin' the oldies).
Wait, this just in,
I found a link to a case that sounds identical and they say it's from the 1970's. Here's a link:
