I did though decide to sell some stuff and get an Epi Les Paul Studio Deluxe and I am going to try my hand at an LP!
Glad it turned out well mate. I wish I had the skills to change pups, but I would burn the things out. Last time I did soldering, I burned a hole in the carpet. Missus was not impressed

haha yeah, one time I dropped hot solder on the kitchen table and she about killed me! I stuck the heat to it and wiped it up and it is barely there now lol.

You were right on target about the PRS not sounding like an LP, but I really dig the PRS now. It sounds very full like an LP, but it still retained the bite of a PRS. Very satisfied!

But, all that did is make me want a real LP....so I got the epiphone.

I hope it I like it when it gets here!

Darkfire

I finally bought a Gibson to add to my collection. I went all the way and bought a Darkfire after playing some stock standard LP's and wasnt over impressed. Dont get me wrong, I love my Darkfire but I recently asked my wife to pick me up a EDWARDS LP Copy while she was in Japan. I must say the quality and attention to detail in these Japanese made guitars are far superior to some of these Gibsons coming out of USA. Gibson better improve thier act cause these *** guitars are a fraction of the price and equal if not better in most cases. YES, YES I can hear the sceptics yelling but I didnt believe it either until I bought and played a new 2008 EDWARDS LP Honeyburst, incredible!

How does the sound of the Edwards compare to the Gibson?
