Les Pauls
I seem to be liking these lately, having 5 in the house at the moment. Four are mine and the Cherry Standard is my sons.
The yellow one at the end is not a 'proper' one, being an LP Junior Special, but still sounds great. 'Real' ones are, L to R. LP Standard, Historic 56, Historic 57 & Historic 59
Historics are all great players
I have left a slot for something. Depends if my current job lasts

hi John,
nice collection you have there. there's just something about a Les Paul.
I took mine out the other night and played it for a little while. the action is
right there. now, I like my little strat and my two Gretsch guitars, but my '73
Les Paul Deluxe is a cut above.

Very nice, I like the special too, looks a bit like my new Reverned Roundhouse with that color. I just had to sell two of my Epi Les Paul's to fund the Reverend.. Hated to let go of the Les Paul Special Double Cut, basically same pick guard as yours.. starting to think I should look for one of those for the Roundhouse....

i too have more than a few-no P-90s tho
and i think your R9 is gorgeous-i covet
and youre dead on -historics are great-but some productions can also be almost right up there too
interesting the difference in th golds finishs twixt R6 and R7-lookslike no yellow 'toner' in the R6- i had an R6 for a day-got it mailorder-braz board-but it had this big divot-and the board was unimpressive-wish i had NOT sent it back

whole heartedly agree. I tried out one of the 2008 Standards a month or so ago and was very impressed with it

"I have left a slot for something. Depends if my current job lasts"
Yea John I know how that goes. Apparently the UK is in almost as deep as the U.S. I'm about the same age as you are. My savings and retirement have pretty much been thrashed. Ah well.........
In any event, mighty fine assortment of fiddles ya got there. And a special nod to the goldies!

I wanted an R6 so bad but couldn't afford it... still, have got an '08 Fireburst LP Studio with gold hardware which sounds beautiful until I can afford one

Hi John!
The discussions we had a little while ago on the PRS vs Gibson topics on Strat-Talk prompted me to come here.
Just wanted to let you know that I did put the Duncan 59s in my PRS and it sounds so much better!
I did though decide to sell some stuff and get an Epi Les Paul Studio Deluxe and I am going to try my hand at an LP!
