NGD, or UGD.

Found this L.P. on craigslist today and couldnt resist. My first Paul, but not Gibson. Seller said it was a 2000 model. An SG and EC-30 keep it company.

I'm thinking it's a Chibson ( Made in China), but I'd need more pics.

The back of the headstock says "made in USA". It doesn't look like its been changed out. But who knows.....

Studio?

I have seen the serial and USA stamp faked but it looks like a Gibson LP studio to me - they did do gold and humbuckers and that red finish once. Can't tell for sure from just two photos - one dead giveaway is the the truss rod cover. If it's three holes and the adjustment is a hex key - then it's oriental. Standard Gibson is two screw holes central and that 10/32 chamfered brass nut.

Send these photos to Gibson and tell them that you are thinking of buying it and want to know if it's real.

If you pull the cover off of the control cavity, do the pots have Gibson stamped on them?

That baby looks pretty dang Gibson to me! It wouldn't hurt to run those numbers and pics through the Mother Company and see what they say.
