Pride and Glory
Does anybody know any bands that sound like pride and glory(zakk wylde's southern rock project)? I really like his work on that album and his work on albums like book of shadows and hangover music but i cant seem to find any bands that have the same style as pride and glory so if anybody could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated...

how old is the album ? and what region of "southern rock" are you talking about ? I have a friend in Austin that calls his music "Delta Electric". his name is Joe Richardson. www.joerichardsonexpress.com

Joe's in Austin, Texas and I'm up here in Minnesota. we've known each other since 1975. I just got back in touch with him a few years ago after I heard one of his songs on the radio up here. I haven't seen him since he moved to Austin, but we stay in touch just about everyday through email. that's how he got my song. the last tour that I know of him going on was back in '05 when he was on tour with Chuck Berry over in Europe. I'm going back to Louisiana at the end of July and maybe he and I will be able to meet up then. as far as the release, I'm not sure. he just went into the studio more or less. thanks for asking.

Thats really cool man...its amzing how many unsung heroes there are out there in the guitar industry and interestingly enough most are as good and better than most of the stuff thats out there today.I was born in the early 90s so ive been forcefed all this new modern rock and pop my whole life and i find most of it to be pretty bad compared to older music. You just dont see people with the same passion for creating good music anymore...its all about selling records and makin money now which has caused the music to suffer.Artists now would rather put 20 songs on a cd than to sit down and carefully master just a few songs that would have a much bigger impact. You just dont find artist like SRV or Eric Clapton anymore...Good artist are a dying breed.A lot of my friends think im strange that i listen to the old stuff but i got to tell you it just doesnt compare to the stuff you here today.I always tell them i was born in the wrong decade! Sorry didnt mean to ramble but thats a point ive always tried to stress.By the way i wish i lived a little closer to u guys cuz im down here in Alabama and we just dont get much in the way of good musicians down here.
