Annual Guitar Toss ! - What ???
Relax ! Relax !
It’s ok. It’s an annual event. You may have even seen something about it on TV a few years
ago. Each year a local music store holds this event to benefit the
Animal Humane Society of Golden Valley, Minnesota. As I said, the proceeds go to the
Animal Humane Society. This is the 10th year that it is being held. I realize that this a
local event, but there are a lot of you from the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area here
on the forum. It will be held Saturday, July 25th at My Music Store; 8016 Olson Memorial
Highway(Hwy 55); Golden Valley, Minnesota. This is only an announcement to inform those of you that might like to attend.

nope, these guitars are beyond repair. the spirit of music has already left them. the strings and tuning pegs, too. some of them have so much duct tape on them, that it's almost like throwing duct tape instead of a guitar. the main emphasis is placed on getting donations for the Animal Humane Society through fees collected for throwing the guitars.
the store is located just down the road from a local TV station. a few years ago the story was picked up and went around the world. it's become a pretty big deal and the owner looks forward to it every year.

one more week to the big day. I spoke with the guitar store owner yesterday and he was telling me that everything was lining up to be a great event.
