Egnater anyone?
Hey guys, I'm looking for a new amp, and looking for anyone who owns and uses an Egnater Rebel 20. The reviews in the GC, MF, and those places are full of great reviews. I'd prefer to hear from real people how wonderful this amp really is. Thanks.

Hey wolfman, my brother in law has an egnater and I think if his house burned down he would save the amp before his wife ( kidding of course she is my sister ) He has a combo that he absolutely loves and goes on and on and on and on about ! I have heard it and it is a nice "boutique" amp lots of features . I prefer marshall,vox even mesa, but for what its worth he loves his amp and has had it a couple of years now.

Hi Wolfman 63. I have the Egnater Rebel 20. I really like it very well. The tone is awesome. Before I bought it I thought I may not like it because the amp has no reverb. But, I have never missed the reverb with the great tone it puts out. Really, IMHO it's a great amp. I Play blues, classic rock and country and western with PRS, Gibson. Fender and Vox guitars and they all sound great on this amp.

QUOTE=indianation66;40490]Mr. 63,
From brothers of another forum...what you seek!
Addendum: Gibson is still the big boy on the block!

   HUH? "Mr" was my grandfather.
"Big boy on the block"......... price wise, I suppose you have a point. They are certainly expensive. At least all mine have been. I currently have three, adding up to about ten grand. And they do what they do very well. I'm very pleased to have those three. Then there are some of the ones I didn't keep because they didn't quite measure up. Apples and oranges again. Who's best, my dog can whip your dog etc.etc. When it comes to amps, the last Gibson I bought lasted about a week before dying quietly and being returned to the store with a failed power supply.
"Big boy on the block" ??? ......Right!
Thanks for the info on the Reverend site . I appreciate the info!

Hey Beeper and switchback! Thanks for the info. Beeper, one of the reasons I'm attracted to the amp is the fx loop. I never use the reverb anyway but instead a little slapback delay. Get yourself a Boss (or any good) delay pedal and put it in the loop and you'll never go back to reverb. The pedal works great in front of the amp clean, but when you go into a little overdrive, you have to reset the pedal controls to keep from getting the "runaway" effect.

Mr. 63,
My point was misinterpreted...after I mentioned another forum, (Reverend), I was merely pointing out that Gibson is king here, in this Gibson forum...that is all! I was not referring to Gibson amplifiers as "King."
Addendum: Mr. Nation calls everyone, "Mr.", unless asked otherwise.

Egnater club
WELL, AFTER TRYING A NEW MARSHALL HAZE 40 FOR A WEEK (AND HAVING IT PUKE LAST NIGHT ) I WENT OUT TODAY AND PULLED THE TRIGGER ON A REBEL 20 STACK. I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING ABOUT THIS LITTLE BRUISER THAT I DON'T LOVE. BEEN RESEARCHING THEM FOR A LONG TIME, AND IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT. I BELIEVE THIS WILL MAKE THE PERFECT PARTNER TO MY VOX NIGHT TRAIN. THE EGNATER SPEAKERS SEEM TO SOUND GREAT WITH ALL MY OTHER AMPS, AND THEY ARE EASIER TO CARRY THAN MY FENDER SUPERSONIC 2X12 CAB. I GIGGED WITH THE FENDER CAB LAST WEEK AND THE SOUND WAS GREAT BUT.............MAN IS THAT THING HEAVY. I'M TOO OLD FOR THAT KIND OF VIOLENCE. AND.........MARSHALL CAN KICK ROCKS..............NEVER, NEVER AGAIN

I've got a Rebel 20 with 2 12 cabs and its a great amp. It's one of the best sounding amps I've owned. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours...
