"quiet" forum?
other forums seem to be much more active than this one? (Tele,Strat, v-drums for example)I would have thought the Strat, Tele, Gibson forums would be relatively equally active....
just an observation from a newbie here.......

There are quite a few Gibson forums, which have a lot more activity, however, they can be fraught with egos.
This place, albeit quiet, is a lot more friendly.

yeah, it's quieter than others, but as John says, we are friendly here. I've been on here for a while and it's been mostly low key. sometimes it gets a little active and then it settles back down. but we're trying to get it going.

Mr. SG,
I espoused the same sentiments not long after I first joined. The Gibson fever is here, but many seem to cope with it better, and don't feel the need to contribute. Anyone here who owns a Gibson probably loves it, but doesn't feel the need to write about it as he does about his other axes in other forums. No harm, perhaps more hands are playing instead of typing?

I have been noticing that things are picking up a bit, which I don't mind. these things tend to come in waves. I think we are coming out of a quiet phase with some new folks like yourself, SG, contributing lots.
I am on a couple of other forums, and they have been relatively quiet since Christmas or so too.

Well said.
We get too few visitors to be surly.

it's a friendly forum. I've seen less friendly forums or forums ruined by some idiots.

That's what Moderators are for to get the forum from getting out hand.
