Dutch Treat

First off, sorry for the absence, guys, but I'm just completely swamped with life these days, but I sat down a few minutes ago to chill and surf YouTube, and found this gem. I vaguely remember the Dutch band Focus from the early 70s, I believe, and sort of recalled the name Jan Akkerman. Little did I know what a genyouwine monster he is!

I honestly can't think of anybody with better chops and taste, and I'm including my hero, Lee Ritenour, here. This dude is a total bonafide master. He seems to be able to do it all - great chord changes, great rhythm playing and out of this world soloing, all on an L6 (or is it an L5?).

The second guitar player is phenomenal too, and I believe it may be Jan Kuiper, but it could be the other guy (the "other guy!", as Elaine calls the third tenor), but Akkerman is of a totally different caliber.

Whoa!!! I'm still recovering!

Enjoy!
