Remembrance Day Services

While watching the Remembrance Day Service being shown on TV from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum here in Hamilton, I heard this loud rumble outside just before the 11th hour. I stepped outside in time to see the Avro Lancaster, B25 Mitchell and I believe the Douglas Dakota fly right over my house preparing for their fly-by. Incredible sound! I can't imagine what a squadron of Lancasters must sound like.

Those old planes sound great. I used to do a bit of work with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, when I worked in Recruiting with the RAF.

They do a great job of keeping them flying

Well if you remember a couple of summers ago, our Lancaster flew over to England to do some Battle of Britain commemorative airshows. The only two airworthy Lancs in the world flying together. It must have been a great site! (And sound!l)
