Playing the Globe in Cardiff

We played a charity gig in aid of a local cancer hospital on Friday 8th June 2018. We were one of three bands supporting a Welsh comedian called Rhod Gilbert.

It was a great night with a lot of money raised for the hospital

Before the storm

My R9 Stanley Burst

Just some of the crowd

We had some backing singers up from the crowd for the encore

Here's a video from the night. It's the old blues standard, Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, first recorded by Sonny Boy Williamson but our version is closer to what the Yardbirds did.

Drummer started a bit faster than he normally does, hence the slight slowing down.

I'm using my R9 Stanley Burst, made in 2011 for Yamano. Specs are:

• Carved Hard Rock Flamed Maple Top
• Solid, non-weight relieved mahogany back
• Single-ply cream binding
• Thin toggleswitch washer and jackplate
• Nickel hardware
• ABR-1 bridge and stopbar tailpiece
• 1-piece mahogany neck with long tenon
• 22-fret rosewood finger board
• Acrylic trapezoid inlays (accurate shape and color)
• Single-ply cream binding
• 1959 rounded neck profile
• 24-3/4" scale
• 1-11/16 nut width
• Holly headstock veneer
• Vintage tulip tuners
• BurstBucker pickups
• CTS pots and bumble bee capacitors
• 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way selector

Sounds like good time music! And the ladies look like they're enjoying the party.
