Proud papa here! Both my kids have scored new full time jobs

Two weeks ago, my son who has been teaching in a part time roll for the past 4 years, was interviewed for a full time teaching gig and he got it. Needless to say, we were extremely proud of him.

This past Friday, my daughter, who just graduated with a marketing/ advertising degree, had an interview and got a marketing job at a recording studio nearby. This place bought and uses the old Abbey Road mixing console!

Daddy is over the moon!

That's great news Rob. It's so hard for youngsters today, I think much harder in my youth. Good luck to them

Thanks guys! My son has been trying to get in full time for a while now. For the last 2 years he's been working the full year filling in for a teacher with health issues. The teacher can't decide if she wants to retire or not. He loved that school and the principal wanted him to stay. However, he needed the stability of a full time gig as he bought a house this past spring and needs to have a steady income.

My daughter still lives at home with us and before she graduated, got a job right across the street from where I work. It was great as she had the same hours as I did and so, I would drive her to work and then home at night. She would come over and have lunch with me...it seemed perfect. However, she was being verbally harassed by the owner and his daughter. She came over for lunch one day crying her eyes out and said she wasn't returning.

So for two months, she's been looking and last Friday she had 2 interviews and was offered both jobs but took the one at the studio as it would probably look better on her resume if she ever leaves. I'm so happy that she got something as she's got a student loan to pay off.

It's an amazing feeling seeing your kids do well. Congrats. I married off my last, a daughter, on June 2nd. Great husband, decent job, nice apartment. My wife and I are officially empty nesters, and looking at each other like "now what?"

Not empty nesters yet. My son moved into an apartment a couple of years ago and then bought a house nearby in the spring. Daughter has no intention of moving out yet...she's got it too good here at home! A few years ago, they were both out of the house while going to school and it was different....kinda liked it!
