Hi Tony, I like the Vox, Roland, and Peavey amps too. About a year and a half ago I brought home a Cube 60 for a practice amp. Really loved it. Just last month I took it to a gig as a spare, and ended up using it instead of my Fender Jazz King. Jazz King is a good amp for SS but the little Cube 60 puts it to shame. I also love Teles, got about five of them, my favorite being my 95 G&L ASAT Classic. However,I have in recent years, developed a taste for LPs (and 335s, HSS Strats, and the occasional Flying V) ..........just a spoiled brat in my old age -deprived as a child.
Lucky I have an understanding (and cooperative) wife.
Have you had a chance to try the Vox Night Train? I got the first one the rep brought around to the Dealer - serial number 0000050. It is absolutely KILLER. The afore mentioned wife was with me on the motorcycle the day we saw it at the store and said "You need that."
She held on to it on the back of the bike so I could take it home that day. My [i]first[i] wife used to go balistic when I bought a whole set of strings........"You only broke [b]one]!" Sure glad she's gone. Stay warm.

Thanks Tony for the info and your time. I didn't start out to collect guitars but I just seem to keep adding to the herd. I've never bought a guitar without playing it first so your information and opinion is very welcome. What kind of amp are you using? And.......have you ever tried using any kind of speaker beam blocker in front of your amp to keep from ice picking the poor devil in the audience who is directly in front of it? I'm experimenting with those (home made) in my amps, and they seem to be working very well.

    thanks again

    randy

    PS Nice Teles!

Hi anfontan, we haven't been formally introduced, but I saw your post and pic of your tele, and thought I'd send a line asking how you like the
Xavior guitar. I've got 23 electrics that have survived trades over the years, but I just recently became aware of the Guitarfetish website. If you get the time drop me a note and tell me about the good and the bad of the brand. I feel that at age 54, I'm more apt to get the real story from you than from listening to one of the "Saturday Morning Shredders" that hang out at GS.

    thanks, randy (wolfman63)
