I modified a couple of my guitars recently-installing mini-humbuckers in a Les Paul copy and converted a Tele to an Esquire. I got a chance to record them, so I tried to play some Chuck Berry licks and rock it out.
I used my Fender Strat for the rhythm track and an Ibanez Jazz Bass for the low end, a Yamaha YDD-60 supplied the drumbeats.
From the start to 0:52 seconds are the minis in humbucker mode in the middle switch position, and 0:52 to 1:34 seconds is neck humbucker and bridge single coil in the middle switch position-kind of has a P-90 vibe..
Then comes the Esquire tones-1:35 to 1:50 is the cocked wah tone-1:50 to 2:05 is the middle position with tone control-2:05 to 2:24 is the same with the tone control bypassed.
I just wanted to shared these sounds especially the various Esquire sound from the single pickup.
Hope you enjoy it!
Give it a listen when you have some time and leave a comment if you can.
