Other Guitars Got a Tokai or Agile? Some other LP or ES Copy? What to discuss Strats and Teles? It doesn't have to resemble a Gibson to be discussed, but if it does that's even better.

hey anfotan, yeah they're heavy, solid mahogany with a maple cap and thin veneers.

Sadly I found some light cracks in both of the ebony boards from around the 17th to 22nd fret, I can have it fixed though. I emailed Rondo about it and was told they're scratches that'll come out if I use some Fast-Fret on it, which is insane. I know a crack when I'm looking at it, lol.

Oh well, glad to have these 2 guitars and after some mod work they'll be great guitars, but after getting the brush off when I tried to say there's something wrong with them I can see I wont be getting more from them.

Ebony dust mixed with some epoxy will fix those cracks really well. When old guitars with ebony fret boards are refretted, small bits and pieces of fret board get taken out along with the old frets. It's just a really brittle wood. Luthiers and guitar techs will fill the cracks, holes, and gouges with the ebony/epoxy combination and hardly anyone (99% of people) can tell the difference.

Were the guitars shipped with lots of desiccants in the cases? If so they may have absorbed too much moisture. I would try re-hydrating that ebony and see if it makes those cracks go away.
