    Hello!
I bought a new old stock melody maker reissue 2007.
Mine was made in 2011 and it is the lp style body,1 single coil pickup, mahogany body.
The fretboard doesn't look rosewood to me.
I guess it is baked maple which is fine by me.
    I am posting some pictures.
Do you think it is baked maple?
Any suggestions about pickup height and general setup would help!
    Thanks

Hi and welcome. Your best bet is to ask Gibson customer service. I thought the baked maple was a very recent thing. I have a 2014 MM and it has a rosewood board.

Okay, I just quickly looked into this and found a review where they say that the body is maple, neck is mahogany with torrified maple boards.

Thank you very much for the reply.
The weird thing is that the guitar has all the specifications of the melody maker 2007 reissues except for the baked maple fingerboard and kluson deluxe buttons tuners.
The body is mahogany as far as i can tell.
I emailed gibson as you suggested.
I will post more detailed pictures of the body
it seems to be mahogany but it must be more polished-buffed than usual.

Some more pictures of the body.
I couldn't get better detail in the pictures.

    Yes thank you.
Gibson used maple body for these 2011 melody makers with 1 humbucker and just a volume control.
I searched the internet but i couldn't find a similar case with mine.
I'm waiting an answer to my email from Gibson.

I have the melody maker now, for a month and a half and i enjoy it very much.
I had it set up by a professional and it sounds and plays great.
The person who did the set up, must have applied some conditioner or lemon oil?to the fretboard, because the baked maple looks much darker than it was.
The wraparound bridge leans a bit or tilt(not sure about the right expression)towards the headstock side but it doesn't cause any problem watsoever.
I think that bridge think is something that happens in wraparound bridges like the juniors for example.
It is the first quality guitar i've had and i think it is a decent instrument.
    I sure do recommend it!
The guitar is super resonant...you can feel the vibrations when playing it.
I don't want to change anything to the guitar except the knobs maybe.
Anyway for the price of the guitar, the quality is amazing.
    So thank you Gibson

I'm very glad that you're so happy with your guitar! When you have one (or more) that you love that much you just want to play more, and that is always a great thing.

    Thank you Epitune!
It is a very simple guitar, lightweight, with good playability.
