    Oh i made a mistake in a post of this thread.
    I wrote that the mahogany body, is more polished-buffed than usual(sorry english is not my native language).
    The finish is open pore and you can see and feel it but it is not harsh,it is smooth.
    This open pore finish is probably done to reduce cost.
    Some people like this finish and some don't like it at all.
    I think it adds to the simplistic charm of the guitar.

    I agree with you, the finish seems very nice and appropriate for this little friend.

    That's a nice melody maker. I have a
    2011 white one. It's modified the pickup is a Seymour Duncan SH-5 and a tone pros bridge. It has great tone and doesn't have the weight of a Les Paul. I love mine. Indiana Jay
