Picked this up a couple of weeks before Christmas:
Gibson Limited Edition Les Paul Tribute Guitar Specifications

    Body Style: Les Paul Studio
    Back: Mahogany
    Top: A grade plain maple
    Weight relief: 9 hole
    Neck: Mahogany
    Neck profile: Slim taper
    Neck width: 1.695"
    Heel: Traditional
    Fingerboard: Rosewood
    Scale length: 24.75
Number of frets: 22 polished frets
    Nut: Tektoid
    Inlay: Acrylic trapezoids
Bridge: Aluminum Tune-o-Matic with steel thumbwheels
Tailpiece: Aluminum Stop Bar with steel posts
Knobs: Gold top hats with silver inserts and pointers
    Tuners: Grover Locking
    Plating: Nickel
    Neck pickup: P-90 Cream Covers
    Bridge pickup: P-90 Cream Covers
Controls: 2 volumes, 2 tones, 1 toggle switch
    Case: Padded gig-bag
In this case when they say slim taper, they mean it. Fast is not superlative enough.

I'd get that in a good hard case, just to protect the neck. And since it came with pointers installed, that's all you need to do.
    Looks good !!!

Thanks, it's pretty hard to get it out of my hands. For blues and Le Jazz Haute it is hard to beat.

    Nice guitar.

Reminded me I haven't played my P90 Goldtop for a while.

Congratulations! I love it when I really develop a bond with a guitar, there's nothing like it.

What a looker. Congrats, Biddlin. Did you have a chance to really try it out?

Nope, I bought it online from AMS. I have now done three very satisfactory deals with them. I actually didn't need to do much to get it setup, the Plek and factory setup were real good. I have played the heck out of it since it got here, I think the SG in the corner is getting jealous.
BTW-String changes are infinite less painful with the Grover locking tuners. Easy and quick!

I thought you hated Grovers because they were heavy and caused neck dive! [emoji4]

On SGs they certainly can. The Les Paul is less sensitive to the extra 5 ounces.:p
