Hello All! New to the forum. Looking for a nice Gibson ES series guitar at the moment. Looking to possibly trade my 2012 custom Mark Johnson Mirage as Im not using at this time. Play mostly blues rock, some Jazz. Any help or input I would appreciate. Looking at 339s, 335s, 330s, and 345s. Thanks all!

This is a decision that only you can make, but thanks for asking.
Any of the models that you list can do the job, so sit down with a couple of those and see what you think.
    Personally, I'm enjoying the 339.

Hi and welcome to this place.

Nice looking guitar. Most if not all guitars can play any genre, so the models you mention and your guitar should do fine. Good luck

Hi and welcome!! If you're open to used guitars, ES135/137's are really nice. I've got an ES137 and it plays everything.

Thanks guys! Yes Its a decision Ive made and feel comfortable with. Really love the 345s look right now with the parallelogram inlays. The only worry for me is its a full hollowbody to my understanding. And that would work in a store where im too shy to crank an amp but back home it may give me some feedback, so a 335 or 339 may be better options. Open to any and all advice! If anybody out there has one there willing to part with give me a shout. The Trini Lopez model is my white whale.

BTW, ES 175s looks awesome w the florentine cutaway. Wow! Kansas City Vintage guitars has one thats natural im drooling over but the pricepoint has me taken aback.

The ES175 is a full hollow though. The 135/137 have center blocks and look pretty much like the 175 with a slightly thinner body. I saw Les Brown play an ES175 at a BB King concert years ago...loud and with no feedback.

    Suhr Alt Pro T model

Found a 2017 Suhr Alt Pro T Rosewood model Im going to try out and see if I like to satisfy my Hollowbody GAS. Even though its not a true Hollowbody, it lends itself to some killer Tele tones that never hurts either! Not a huge fan of Satin necks, as Ive never tried a Suhr but worse case scenario I can always return it in 30 days if I dont like it! Updates to come on that front.

Well it's not a Gibson but it's basically a very nice Tele Thinline. Don't expect it to sound like a 335 or 339. I love my '72 thinline RI as its like my standard Tele on steroids and it's much lighter. Still a great guitar for blues!

I'm sure it's a fine guitar in its own stature, and should be a blast to play. May it serve you well!
