I bought one and these are my thoughts:

    1. Love the weight. Nice and Light.
    2. Sustain and sounds seems on a par with other Les Pauls I have owned. Models have ranged from Juniors to Historics. My all time fav is an R0.
    3. The wider neck takes some getting used to but no big deal. Love it now.
    4. The zero fret nut is a great idea. I happen to love zero frets. Gibson sent me a Titanium nut to replace the faulty brass nut. I also have one of these to try:
    5. The fit and finish is as good or better than any other Gibson I have purchased. Outstanding.
    6. After a week or so tuners had to go. Just could not bond with them. And yes I did read the manual. I replaced them easily with locking tuners. For me, it was the only way to go.
    7. The electronics actually produce some usable tones. Very versatile guitar. And still gets "The Les Paul Sound".
    8. The hardshell case is nice, although I would have preferred the standard Les Paul case. But again, no big deal.
    9. I absolutely love the guitar. It's a joy to play.
    10. It's a great guitar. Period.

Notice I never once said "for the money". That's not an issue. It stands on it's own merit.

I may now pop for a doublecut special.

I'm glad you're loving it, Lend27! I've always tried to have instruments that inspire me to play more, and I think that plan has worked our well.

Must not be a LP. By definition they are to be HEAVY!
Does the Les+ have its own case?
    vs reg Les Pauls?

Here are the two I bought from Sam Ash in the 2015 Gibson Blowout Sale.
Both came with the Gold Case for 2015.
Gibson replaced both brass nuts with titanium.
Both guitars play and sound great. Fit and finish is awesome.
Couldn't lose with the discounted pricing.
I changed the GForce to Grovers after living with them for a few days. Just not my cup of tea. But to each his own.
    Very happy with both guitars.

No, seriously, I also bought one, I got #70, what number did you get?

I would caution you on one small point though. Double check the hinge area of the flap on the inside of the case, My bud got a '14 and it was the same with my '15. The joint of the hinge, rubs/presses on the back of the neck around the 11th fret or so. He didn't notice his until it actually had to go back to Gibson to get fixed... When they returned it, they sent the brown guitar shaped case with the pink lining. I did a repair, and wrote up a little thread on it over on MLP.

Other than that, I loved everything about mine, but the pots... They were too firm for me. I replaced them with CTS Vintage taper pots, PIOs and did the 50's wiring thing. I love the reduced tension of the CTS pots.

Been looking at some tuners... Although, the gForce hasn't failed me yet. Knock on Wood.

Bottom line is, they are fantastic guitars!

I was actually surprised by the fit and finish on mine. I was expecting to find some flaw somewhere, but haven't.

NICE! I'm curious, do you have an idea of what the actual weight of the guitar is?
